I’m Jessica, a Vancouver-based Registered Dietitian. I began my clinical career in Taiwan and now work with Fraser Health in British Columbia. My experience includes kidney and dialysis care, diabetes, cardiovascular health, diabetes in pregnancy and care for older adults. These settings have taught me to look at the whole person, not just a diagnosis.
I’m also a Certified Diabetes Educator and have completed certificate training in Intuitive Eating. I bring clinical knowledge and a curious, nonjudgmental approach to our conversations. We’ll make sense of your health needs alongside the foods you enjoy, your culture and your routine, then find realistic steps you can use—without rigid rules or weight-loss pressure.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and trying different ways to move: yoga, Pilates, strength training, paddleboarding, hiking and skiing. I know what it feels like to be a beginner and to keep learning. For me, nutrition should support the things that make life meaningful—and leave room to enjoy food along the way.
A small seed. A personal story.
Chiaseed takes its name from my Chinese name, 佳盈 (Chia-Ying), and chia seeds—a food I enjoy for their versatility. Like a small seed, a practical change can be a starting point. My aim is to help you find changes that fit naturally into your own life.
